Fi & Mac

Meet best friends Fi and Mac, a five-year-old girl from rural Ulster, and her best friend, an Ulster-Scots speaking red squirrel.

Together the two go on a series of wee adventures to places that will be familiar to young children in Ulster.  During their adventures, Mac introduces Fi to some common Ulster-Scots words.

This resource includes a series of animated short films, interactive online games and lesson plans and printable classroom resources all aimed at introducing simple Ulster-Scots language to foundation stage classrooms. Pupils will get to see and hear characters who speak just like them and who explore familiar places.

The series has been produced with funding from the Ulster-Scots Broadcast Fund and with the support from The Ulster-Scots Agency and CCEA.
