School Workshops

The School Workshop Scheme has been developed to support teachers introducing aspects of Ulster-Scots culture and heritage into curriculum-based teaching and learning. This is distinct from the After Schools Club Programme in that it is not extra-curricular.

As part of this programme the Agency will provide support for Ulster-Scots projects. In some cases music tuition may be provided as part of the programme.

Applications for the programme will be assessed to ensure that outcomes help develop learners’ awareness and understanding about Ulster-Scots culture and heritage.

The programme may support projects in schools relating experiences like European Language Day, and Cultural Awareness projects.

Projects supported by the programme will not exceed 4 weeks duration.
