Join Tracy Thompson, graduate of the Edinburgh Kiltmakers Academy at the Discover Ulster-Scots Centre.

On Wednesday 13 March 2019, Tracy will be talking all things kilts & tartans during two workshops at 1:00pm and 7:00pm. Tracy graduated from the prestigious Edinburgh Kiltmakers Academy that trains the new generations of kiltmakers. The Academy aims to help improve the standard of traditional kilt making in order to ensure this long-established craft doesn’t die out.

Guests can learn about the various weights of kilts, the different tartans and will be shown how they are measured, produced and worn.

The history of kilts will be a fun yet instructive session taking guests through their various stages of production.
