Try your hand at Bread Making with Freddie Strickland

Back by popular demand, the Ulster-Scots Community Network is hosting another baking demonstration with local cook and traditional bread maker extraordinaire Freddie Strickland at the Discover Ulster-Scots Centre, Belfast.

Freddie brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his demonstrations. He expertly outlines how different breads were developed and showcases the ingredients used. During the session he will show you how baking methods have developed throughout the years and most importantly explain how to pack the flavour while baking.

Come along and learn about traditional farls, treacle farls, soda bread, potato bread and much more.

To top off the session you can sample some of the tasty handmade bakes on offer.
